Our Legacy
Ours is a story that began first and foremost with community support. The first ShowMeTM community website was started back in 2008 to promote the vibrant holiday destination of Plettenberg Bay on the beautiful Garden Route. Tourism is Plett’s life blood and we wanted to show it to the world!
Our objective was to help local community businesses by attracting more tourists to the town and surrounds. We did this by publishing interesting lifestyle articles about the area as well as event updates. We also started offering Plettenberg Bay businesses free listings in our directory. It was a great success, but they began asking us for more! So, we researched and developed a very cost-effective template system aimed at giving these small businesses a web presence of their own – all while still benefiting from the traffic that ShowMe generated with its content.
We became experts in ensuring that our content was ranked on the major search engines, Google in particular. We were successful beyond our wildest dreams, generating over 120 000 page views per month on ShowMe Plettenberg Bay during peak season.
This success led us to franchising our model to other towns across South Africa. Our 28 ShowMe franchises generated over 1 million page views per annum! The result was that ShowMe became a highly trusted brand and the biggest WordPress website in South Africa by far.
Ours has not been an overnight success. It’s taken over 10 years of carefully listening to our customers and then addressing their needs.
Adapting to change

While ShowMe started out as a network of local community websites promoting towns and cities across South Africa, we have since evolved into a dynamic digital marketing agency specializing in the development of professional websites for businesses of all sizes, including E-commerce solutions. Today, we leverage our expertise to empower businesses with tailored online solutions that drive growth and visibility.
